Our Practice

CCOA was founded by Dr. Andrew Bush in 2007 in Sanford. We expanded our practice in 2011 with the opening of our Pittsboro office. Both of our locations offer clinic-based care of orthopaedic conditions and have on-site digital x-ray available.

Availability

One of our practitioners is available by telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for urgent matters. After hours calls are triaged by our answering service first and patched to our on-call practitioner when needed. Other calls of a non-urgent nature are returned in a timely manner by a member of our clinical staff.

If you are experiencing an urgent orthopaedic problem we make every effort to see you on a same-day basis.

A physician, physician assistant, or medical assistant will return calls in a timely manner.

Our hours of operation have been modified due to factors related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Currently we are open Monday – Thursday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm in our Sanford location and Mondays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in our Pittsboro location. In both locations we have limited the number of in-person appointments to comply with current CDC guidelines on social distancing.

Accreditations

Dr. Andrew Bush is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, the only orthopaedic board recognized by the American Council on Medical Specialties. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

We are members of The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, The North Carolina Orthopaedic Association, The North Carolina Medical Society, American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), and other organizations that focus on continuing medical education.

We are credentialed for privileges at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC.

We have strong associations with the primary care physicians and surgical specialists in our communities and believe that health care providers in our region hold us in high esteem.
